How to prepare for the Learners License (LLR) exam

LLR is the first step in getting your driving license in India. There are several license category, still all the category will need to go through the same LLR exam. LLR exam is an online exam which is conducted in the Regional Transportation Office (RTO) which covers your area of residence. Note, this is the present address and not your permanent address in case these are different for you. LLR exam portion covers 4 sections. Road Signs, hand signs, Rules of road regulations and General principles. It will take about 15-20 min for each section. The exam has 20 questions, out of which you need to answer at least 16 correctly to clear the exam. This is not a tough exam, instead if you prepare well this is pretty easy to clear.

Road signs

This section covers all the road signs that you see on our city and highways. There are 3 parts in this section mandatory signs, cautionary signs and informative signs. You can go through the study material to get strong in this section.

Hand Signs

There are few hand signs too which you need to be familiar with. This is also covered in the study material.

General principles

These are general guide lines that you need to be aware of to ride on the road. These are covered in this section.

 

Rules of road regulations

These are the times that need to be followed while you are driving in any Indian road. It is important to know all the rules to pass this exam. Here is the section that covered rules.
